Turning passive learning into engaged learning,
one classroom at a time.

Reignite the heart for learning, and the rest follows. That craft can be taught, and that's why I'm here.

When we focus on people first, everything changes. Reignite a teacher's heart for learning and a student's, and engagement stops being something you chase. It becomes the natural result.

After thirty-eight years in education, the philosophy is simple.

Doug Rawlins has spent thirty-eight years in education, thirteen of them teaching secondary science and coaching, and twenty-five more in administration as an elementary and secondary principal, curriculum coordinator, and assistant superintendent of instruction and curriculum. He has served seven different Title I campuses and districts, four of them fully funded Title I, the schools where the work is hardest and the stakes are highest.

In every one of those roles the lesson held. Schools flourish when leaders and teachers reignite their heart for learning and put people first. Give teachers the right tools, the right data, and the right support, and passive learning turns into engaged learning, and the whole campus moves.

Educators don't need more theory or trendy initiatives with catchy names. They need research-based, proven, practical strategies they can use the very next class period.

That's the standard Doug holds in every training he delivers. He brings a fun, simple, focused environment, soft skills, and the smart use of tools, data, and digital platforms, so teachers leave working smarter, not harder. Every strategy has to work in a real classroom, with real students, starting the very next day.

His campuses have earned it out. The majority have been recognized at the highest levels, including National Blue Ribbon Schools, Texas Honor Roll Schools, and TEPSAN of the Year, and in 2019 Texas Woman's University named him an Advocate for Excellence in Literacy. The strategies travel. The results show up Monday morning.
